Kansas City is a lot of fun in the summer--especially the first weekend of every month, when the antique and vintage shops are open for business. If you need ideas of things to do, we'd recommend any of the following:

Museums

- WWI Museum and Memorial

- Nelson Atkins Museum of Art

Unique Shopping

- Bella Patina (Antiques/Vintage)

- Urban Mining (Antiques/Vintage)

- Pryde's Kitchen & Necessities (Kitchen Gadgets)

- The Brookside Shops (Various)

Breakfast, Coffee, & Lunch

- Mildred's (our favorite cinnamon rolls!)

- McLain's Bakery (also our favorite cinnamon rolls - go to the Gregory Blvd. location)

- Heirloom Bakery & Hearth

- Home Grown (sit-down breakfast, Wichita original!)

Bars

- Boulevard Beer Hall (Kansas City Original)

- Mean Mule Distilling Co. (the VERY BEST margaritas in KC)

- Brookside Barrio (our first date spot--get margs + loaded queso and skip everything else)

- Big Grove Taproom-Prairie Village (for the Iowa Law alums)

Dinner Spots (for Friday Night)

- Jack Stack Barbecue (classic KC barbecue; multiple locations--make a reservation!)

- Q39 (Donna Kelce was here when we were--make a reservation!)

- Manny's Mexican Restaurant (very accessible Tex-Mex)

- Il Lazzarone (Neapolitan-style pizza in the River Market--get the Pane!)

Outdoorsy

- City Market Farmer's Market (River Market)

- Brookside Farmer's Market (Brookside)

- Westwood Park (where we got engaged!)

- Jacob L. Loose Park (where Katherine thought we were going to get engaged)

Churches

- Visitation (where we go on Saturdays)

- Jacob's Well (where go on Sundays)
